It was a real fine day after raining. Eight participants joined us including four new comers. We started at the Anglican Church of Korea where a wedding ceremony would be performed. Families of bride and bridegroom were greeting their congratulators at the entrance of the church. After sketching till 12:30 we moved to restaurant for lunch. After lunch we went to the observatory in Seoul City Hall Seosomun building to see the beautiful view from 13th floor. Because it's weekend lots of visitors took seats and frequented. So it was not easy for 8 sketchers to take space for long. Though we felt sorry we left promising to come again for sketching and walked to Baejae Hagdang nearby. There in fantastic foreground surrounded by old and new buildings we finished sketching. Thank you all!

Participants : Lee Yong-hwan, Song Kee-sung, Ku Bon-ok, Yoo Byung-hwa
and new comers : Oh Chang-hwan, Son Jeong-hwa, Yoo Hye-kyoung and Mona Kwon

four sketches on a very cold day

at the Anglican church of Korea

Today I walked from Gwanghwamun to Seoul Station. On the way I sketched one at the church and one more looking up the Namdaemun gate. Due to the low temperature some parts on paper water were frozen. It looked interesting anyway, which could be seen on winter too. Arriving at the station I made two more. Inside the station was always lively with people. Passengers in streets or in station showed interest in sketches encouraging by comments such as "You have a good hobby." or "You look nice!". Walking the streets I could find more spots where I would sketch later on warm days onwards.
